Alnoor Food Bank

FIGHTING HUNGER IN OUR COMMUNITY

The Alnoor  Food Bank is a volunteer-run service program that has been regularly serving the community since 2020.

Islam obliges us to care for humanity affairs and encourages us to look after the weak and share our wealth with those who are in needy either they are our relatives or our neighbours, regardless their faith or ethnicity.

In 2020, our Alnoor Charity set up an in house foodbank to help members of congregation and community who were struggling to feed themselves and their families. Our volunteers distributes the food ratios door to door every Sunday.

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face on going hungry. That is why we provide balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of local network of foodbanks, supported by local authority. We are working to combat poverty and hunger across the boroughs.

SUPPORT US

We want to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, but we need your help to make this happen. Your gift of financial support, time, business partnership and food can make a real difference.

You can get involved by supporting us through your donations either by donating dry foods to our in house foodbank canter, financial gift or your time.

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skill could be just what we need.

Every Sunday morning, approximately 1,000 pounds of food is distributed to about 50 local families. The Food Bank program has become a beacon for diversity, unity and friendship. We welcome adults, children and interfaith groups wishing to connect and serve.
